KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual for the temporary part time position of Intake Worker in Knox County. The Intake Worker conducts initial assessment in client crisis and other client need situations. The individual also assists and supports other direct service staff with meeting client needs and conducting program procedures.
Specific Duties of Intake Worker include conducting client sign up and intake for various program services, as well as processing applications, answering the phone, and assisting clients with questions Complete data entry to track clients and services for agency database, as well as input from client feedback. Maintain organized client records. Assess client needs and refer clients to appropriate resources (internal and/or external), including follow up. Conducting home visits for special needs clients, verifying program requirements, and addressing other general program requirements Keep abreast of services offered in the community and inform these services regarding clients’ needs. Provide initial/short term services in crisis situations Disseminate necessary information via fax, phone, or other required media Serve as backup support for direct service staff. Operate short-term programming as needed. Maintain confidentiality, respect, and a non-judgmental manner in all aspects of work. Provide clean-up of work area and service area, including but not limited to bathroom detail, sweeping, mopping, and other duties necessary to keep the service area welcoming to and safe for clients. Practice safety in all aspects of the job and adhere to program standards regarding communicable diseases and blood born pathogens. Cooperatively work with staff, community service providers, funding sources, and other resources to promote agency programs, vision, and goals. Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to the delivery of services made available by related programs.
