KCEOC is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Shelter Operations Maintenance/Security Worker. This position is located at KCEOC’s homeless shelter in Knox County and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operational activities of the shelter. These include but are not limited to: continuously walking through all areas of shelter, monitoring proper uses of the building, answering questions, checking for maintenance issues, updating bulletin boards, straightening and updating the resource area, and all other duties as they pertain to maintenance, security, and day to day oversight of the shelter including, but not limited to, intake and processing program participants for shelter admittance, answering phones, logging long distance calls, giving information/referrals, documenting in- kind, maintaining facility, monitoring chores and other client participatory activities, watch for any disregard of rules, orientation of new program participants or new volunteers to shelter, and conducting house meetings as needed.
Qualifications include: High School graduate/equivalent; two years work experience in human services or equivalent required; computer skills required; supervisory experience helpful; willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A valid Kentucky driver's license is required.
